Bar Opening Times from April 2025

Traditionally the Witch and Wren Bar has opened on Thursday and Friday evenings, in addition to opening for specific events.

The numbers attending on a regular Friday evening have been so low, that it is difficult to justify the costs of opening the bar on these occasions.

We have made some changes to see if we could get an increased attendance.

We tried switching to opening on Wednesday evenings for the Table Tennis Club, instead of Fridays, but this has not worked either.

From the beginning of May, the bar will open on Friday evenings again, but this will be kept under review, to see if numbers of attendees improve.

We have decided that the bar will open when there are music events being held in the main village hall on Saturdays and Sundays.

On 6th April, the Bar will be open on the Sunday afternoon, alongside the Country Music event, to see if people would enjoy meeting friends and neighbours on a Sunday Lunchtime. If there is sufficient interest we may extend this for the rest of the warmer weather period.
