VILLAGE HALL CHARITY COLOUR RUN TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Acceptance

By registering for the Village Hall Charity Colour Run, participants confirm that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

Nature of the Event
The Colour Run is a family-friendly, non-competitive charity fundraising event intended for enjoyment rather than speed or athletic performance.
Participation
Participants take part entirely at their own risk. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied or supervised by a responsible adult. The organisers reserve the right to refuse or withdraw participation where they believe it is necessary for the safety of participants, volunteers or spectators.
Health
Participants confirm that they are medically fit to take part and will not participate if they are suffering from illness or injury. Anyone with asthma, respiratory conditions, allergies or eye conditions should seek medical advice before participating.
Colour Powder
Only non-toxic, food-grade or cosmetic-grade coloured powder will be used. Participants understand that temporary staining of skin, hair and clothing may occur. Powder should not be deliberately thrown directly into another person’s face.
Clothing and Personal Property
Participants are advised to wear old clothing and suitable footwear. The organisers cannot accept responsibility for the loss of or damage to personal belongings.
Photography
Photographs and video recordings may be taken during the event for publicity and future fundraising purposes. By taking part, participants consent to reasonable photography and filming unless they notify the organisers in advance.
Liability
The organisers are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings, damage to clothing caused by colour powder, or injuries resulting from failure to follow instructions or reckless behaviour. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability where such exclusion is not permitted by law.
Event Changes
The organisers reserve the right to alter the course, delay the start, postpone or cancel the event if severe weather, safety concerns or circumstances beyond their reasonable control make it necessary.
Refunds
As this is a charity fundraising event, entry fees are normally non-refundable unless the organisers cancel the event.
Participant Behaviour
Participants are expected to follow all instructions given by event marshals and volunteers, behave respectfully towards others and avoid dangerous or reckless behaviour. Anyone behaving in an unsafe or
inappropriate manner may be asked to leave the event without a refund.
Dogs
Only assistance dogs are permitted on the course unless the organisers have given prior permission.
Data Protection
Personal information collected during registration will only be used to administer the event and will be handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
Force Majeure
The organisers are not liable for cancellation, delay or disruption caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control.
Agreement
Registration for the event confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
